This July 2025, ESS Creative and Legal Foundation proudly collaborated with the High Court Mediation Center at the 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba), held at the Mwalimu J.K. Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds. This collaboration aimed to raise awareness about mediation as an accessible, cost-effective pathway to justice—especially for community leaders, entrepreneurs, and ordinary citizens.
Together with the Center, we engaged judicial leaders, including Justices of the Court of Appeal, High Court Judges, Magistrates, and Court Registrars. These conversations allowed us to explore challenges facing mediation in Tanzania and to propose practical, people-centered solutions.

To strengthen these efforts, the High Court Mediation Center shared the Treasure of Mediation—its official journal—with key stakeholders. This publication captures the vision and value of mediation in promoting peaceful dispute resolution and supporting economic growth. Access the journal here.
Our presence at Sabasaba showed once again that inclusive justice is possible when courts, civil society, and citizens come together. As ESS, we remain committed to supporting the Mediation Center’s mission and expanding access to justice through dialogue, innovation, and collaboration.
