On June 30, 2025, Erick Mukiza, Accredited ADR Practitioner, engaged in a discussion with Ms. Aveline Ombock, Principal State Attorney from the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs' ADR Unit. The meeting took place at the Ministry's Pavilion during the 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba) at Mwalimu J.K. Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds.

Ms. Ombock provided insights into the core functions of the ADR Unit, which operates under the Department of Public Legal Service. As an ADR practitioner, Erick gained understanding of the Unit's three primary responsibilities: accrediting ADR practitioners across the country, conducting alternative dispute resolution processes, and coordinating both ADR stakeholders and accredited institutions.

Such engagements ensure that ADR practitioners remain informed about regulatory developments and best practices in the field.
