During the 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba), there was a landmark visit from the Chief Justice of Zanzibar, Hon. Khamis Ramadhan Abdalla, during the collaboration between ESS Creative and Legal Foundation and the High Court Mediation Center. This milestone engagement highlighted the growing momentum behind Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Tanzania.
The Chief Justice exchanged best practices on mediation and ADR between Zanzibar and mainland Tanzania. As part of the visit, he was presented with The Treasure of Mediation—the official journal of the High Court Mediation Center—which showcases the strides made in promoting peaceful, inclusive, and accessible dispute resolution.
Hon. Khamis Ramadhan Abdalla expressed interest in fostering cross-regional collaboration, signaling openness to joint efforts in advancing ADR mechanisms across both jurisdictions.
Through such high-level engagements, the High Court Mediation Center continues to champion ADR as a vital tool for accessible justice, while ESS Creative and Legal Foundation remains dedicated to supporting inclusive mediation efforts that bridge institutions and communities across Tanzania and Zanzibar.
